Seniors Helping Seniors Food Bank Challenge

June 2019 – Throughout June, our amazing communities the Wellesley, Selkirk Seniors Village and Beacon Hill Villa challenged each other to fundraise food donations for a local non-profit, the Mustard Seed.

“We all have so much, it’s nice to give back,” said Stephanie Lumley, activity coordinator at The Wellesley. “We thought we’d make it a bit more fun so we challenged our sister site to join us in our challenge.”

Each community filled donation boxes of dried and canned goods, toiletries and pet foods. Yesterday they brought their donations to The Mustard Seed Street Church in Victoria. Thank you to everyone who took part in this fantastic initiative!
