Amenities

The Wellesley retirement community is proud to offer seniors various amenities, including a movie theatre, hair salon, fitness room and more. There’s also a large billiards table on the second floor that overlooks our garden lounge. We have a full-service dining room that serves a wide range of homemade meals and a selection of local wines and other beverages. Residents can also take advantage of our tranquil interior garden courtyard and two beautiful rooftop garden spaces.

Care

The Wellesley aims to provide residents with a high quality of life in a safe, home-like environment. Our dedicated staff helps residents maintain their independence while offering them the personalized care and support they need as they get older. Furthermore, our 24/7 emergency response system ensures residents have access to the nursing assistance they need when they need it.

Security

At the Wellesley, the safety and security of our residents is a top priority. For instance, all entrances and exits to the building are equipped with code or key entry. We’ve also installed state-of-the-art security cameras in common areas, parking lots and exits to protect residents from theft, vandalism and unwanted intruders. Furthermore, our staff conduct nightly on-site security checks for added peace of mind.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

The Wellesley is a fully accessible retirement home in Victoria with elevators on each floor. Many suites feature walk-in showers with grab bars to ensure our residents’ safety. There’s also an accessible bus that residents can use for medical appointments and to run errands.

We welcome residents from all faiths and cultures. The Wellesley offers weekly non-denominational religious services as well as opportunities for people of specific denominations to gather.

Independent Living

The Wellesley offers studio, one- and two-bedroom independent living suites. These retirement accommodations are most suitable for seniors who require little to no assistance with everyday tasks but who want to forgo the responsibility of caring for a yard or property.

Our independent living programs offer active seniors the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy outings and activities designed to challenge, inspire and entertain. The Wellesley’s independent living community allows seniors to enjoy a rich, vibrant and fulfilling life in a comfortable and safe environment.

Assisted living

The Wellesley has several assisted living suites suitable for somewhat mobile residents and can primarily take care of themselves but may need help with a few everyday tasks. We welcome residents who use a cane, walker or wheelchair, provided they are capable of moving from their wheelchair onto their bed or a chair themselves.

If needed, residents in assisted living are provided with support to complete daily activities such as taking medication, dressing and undressing, bathing or showering and general hygiene care. The Wellesley also provides housekeeping, laundry and meal services as needed. Our staff offers a balanced approach to care by facilitating mental and physical well-being as well as overall safety.
