Peace Portal Lodge is a cozy care residence located centrally in South Surrey near many amenities, and close to the hospital. Residents are lovingly cared for by qualified, attentive staff in casual, comfortable surroundings.

Residential Care (Skilled Nursing Care)

Residents are cared for by a highly trained, professional and caring staff, in a safe and secure environment.

To ensure intimate, home-like surroundings rooms are tastefully decorated in soft colours with comfortable furnishings. Residents are encouraged to bring familiar belongings and decorations to create an atmosphere that is familiar to them and to their families.

Residential Care Entertainment and Recreation

Our trained Recreation Staff is dedicated to making time spent at Peace Portal quality time. We want our residents to be able to fill their days with worthwhile activities and entertainment to the best of their ability. We encourage the participation of family and friends. We also respect our residents’ rights to dignity always, and privacy when they wish it.

We take every opportunity to celebrate special occasions: - birthdays, holidays, special days, the seasons, and anything else that might be happening.

Staff

Angelo Boholst General Manager Angelo is a registered nurse from the Philippines with16 years of nursing career. Prior to joining retirement concepts, I worked as a geriatric clinician/educator at Surrey memorial hospital and then became as a Patient Care coordinator in the acute Geriatric Unit also in SMH. Most recently, I worked at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Site Leader for after-hours clinical and administrative operations. He was also a clinical and classroom instructor for both Residential Care Aide and Licensed Practical Nurse Program at different colleges. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in the Philippines and took a Health Care Management Certificate at BCIT and is currently completing his Masters Degree in Administrative Leadership at Trinity Western University. His hope is to promote a safe, dignified living experience for the elderly at Peace Portal Lodge.	Email
Debbie Borsa Admin. Coordinator Debbie joined Peace Portal Lodge in January 2010. She comes from an extensive background in management, administration and customer service including 8 ½ years in the banking industry. She is very excited to be working in the health care industry as she has a passion for the well being of people, particularly seniors. She enjoys the daily interactions with staff and residents and hopes to provide family members with the assurance that their family members are receiving the best care and attention they deserve. Saira Sheikh Recreation Coordinator Saira joined the PPL family in December 2009. She is a 2003 graduate from York University and completed her BA in Psychology and Health Sciences and then went on to get her diploma in Activation Gerontology from George Brown College in Ontario. Saira has seven years of experience in therapeutic recreation. She provides a wide variety of therapeutic programs for the residents at PPL based on individual needs. Recreation at PPL is essential to our home as it assists in ensuring our residents have a quality of life in their home.	Email
