Hello families and friends of Peace Portal Seniors Village,

We are very pleased to share there continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff here at Peace Portal Seniors Village. Should the status of our Community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families. We continue to monitor all residents & staff daily for any symptoms. If your loved one is deemed symptomatic or tests positive, please know you will be contacted directly by phone.

We are excited to start window visits and will gradually implement in person family visits.

Recreation activity is still under planning process. These activities will be hosted by our Recreation Team and will be adhering to all precautionary measures such as prescreening questions, small group sessions, social distancing, and thorough sanitization of the activity space before and after each activity.

We are opening our dining room area starting on December 7th for the first floor residents and gradually will implement for the second floor residents on December 10th.

As always, we remain committed to full enhanced preventative & precautionary infection control protocols. We continue to monitor residents & staff closely and adhere to the following:

 

Deliveries  Monday – Sunday 10am-2pm

All deliveries for all resident floors will be received at the lobby entrance vestibule.  This includes medication deliveries from pharmacies, other gifts, and mail.  All items will be sanitized and delivered directly to the residents’ suite.

When dropping items off, we would ask that families please follow the following guidelines to ensure loved ones will receive their deliveries in a timely manner:

  1. Please use plastic bags, not reusable bags;
  2. Please label all bags with the resident’s name and suite number.
  3. In consideration of staff-to-resident priorities as well as infection control, please try to limit drop offs to essential items; and.
  4. If possible, please sanitize the items before dropping off. We will re-sanitize as well to be safe.

If you have a request, or something that is needed to assist a resident, please let us know.  Our Team at PPSV is here and we are stepping it up to help our residents in the absence of regular visits from their family and friends.  Please let us know in advance if there is a little task you need assistance with.
