Guildford Seniors Village – Update 13 May 2020

We are grateful for a healthy community and persevere with serious commitment in all enhanced preventative infection control protocols.

We will continue to provide bi-weekly updates every Wednesday and Saturday. If there are any questions that you may have please call 604-582-0808 ext. 125.

Our community team misses family & loved ones’ visits to residents and we can only imagine the adjustment each of you have had to make, and how much you are missing your loved one. Your support is key to residents’ health, and our goal is united.  Thank you.

Protocols

We continue to follow the direction, protocols and compliance of our public health officials, with full infection prevention and control precautions in effect. We continue to monitor residents closely and adhere to:

Dining Room

Our four Neighborhood Dining Rooms have been opened to residents with service of home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as Snack Trolley room service afternoon and evenings.

Recreation

We continue with creating one-to-one visits, and took delight in each’s joy on Mother’s Day tea & cupcakes trolley.

To arrange a social call, Facetime and/or Skype visit with your loved one, please contact 604-582-0808 ext. 203 or email recreation-gsv@retirementconcepts.com.

We will strive to connect you with comfort, and thank you for your compassion and patience, as requests may not be fulfilled on same day.

Feel welcome to send a message to your loved one via email  with a message and/or photos to  recreation-gsv@retirementconcepts.com

We thank our local 7-Eleven for their kindness & generosity in treating our team to refreshments. Potato chips & bottled water boost our spirits & self-care!

Huge KUDOS and deep respect to the nurses of Guildford Seniors Village who share their clinical skills, compassion and life’s calling,  creating mindful  ‘art of care’ for all residents – the KEY to  residents’ quality of life.

“ As Florence Nightingale (Founder of Modern Nursing) lived unprecedented times during her life caring during the Crimean war, Our Nurses are also living unprecedented times battling Covid-19.  To our relentless nursing team, we would like to say thank you for your dedication to choose caring every day.  We wish you a marvellous International Nurses’ Day and know that your contribution is making History” Camila Nunes, BSN, MBA – General Manager,  Guildford Seniors Village

Happy Nurses Day & Week!
