As per consult & in guidance with Public Health, Enhanced Monitoring protocols implemented are as below:

• In person Visitation is on hold & No resident outings, with the exception of the Maple Neighborhood.

Second Floor Community 

As of April 27^th, we are observing with caution six residents due to potential exposure to Covid-19 & managing infection control for resident health:

• Visitation for 2^nd Floor is cancelled until further notice
• No resident outings
• Residents in observance are on droplet precaution, isolation & care, with in-suite dining, and with consult & compliance with Public Health guidelines
• All residents exhibit no symptoms
• Swabs in progress for exposure contacts
• Family decision makers have been contacted by General Manager

First Floor Community

Dogwood Neighborhood:  observation & droplet precaution of four Residents due to potential exposure to Covid 19 has commenced as of April 28^th.

Compassionate Or Essential Visits Continue:  support in Care

• If your loved one is transitioning in their Life Journey, the Care Team will reach out to Resident Decision Maker in collaboration, to notify and arrange visit.
• Care Team will reach out with recommendations for Essential support.

Thank you for your continued support in following all the guidelines & respecting the protocols in place to manage all risk factors.

Please:

• No food donations at this time, as we are minimizing all risk factors, with focus on each resident and the continued high level care and safety of our community
• Recreation Programs as One-To-One Visits & Programs continue in un-affected areas.
• Cohorting resident & staff by neighborhood, includes housekeeping services, with extra housekeeping & enhanced sanitizing, and recreation
• Strict compliance with PPE, Health Pre-Screen 2x daily for all essential staff & residents continues.
• Daily Education regarding PPE, protocols & hand hygiene includes enhanced Huddle Guide.
• PPE stock & replenishment is stable.

• General updates or information will be sent out in daily emails.

• Covid 2^nd Vaccinations are being administered June 14^th to remaining residents by consent, as supply roll out & directives are from local health authorities. *Dates may vary for some residents.

Guildford Seniors Village is a secured Long Term Care Residence for Seniors:

Dr. Bonnie Henry updated travel restrictions mandating people not to travel outside their community or health authority;

please be mindful when planning to come to Guildford Seniors Village. This is currently in place until at least May 24^th

Welcoming Visitors by appointment: MAPLE NEIGHBORHOOD

• All visitors, & any planned outings by Resident Access Person, must be scheduled in advance.

• No Drop Ins.

VISITORS   *Virtual Visits only for Dogwood Neighborhood & 2^nd Floor until further notice. 

ALL VISITORS MUST SCHEDULE THEIR VISIT in advance– please arrange by:

1. Request must be a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to confirm a visit date & time: Email  gsv-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com OR Phone 604-582-0808 ext  203  please leave a message.  Please inform if you plan to walk outside with your loved one *only Access List Visitors can remove resident.
2. Consider a Virtual Visit -all inquiries in regards to Virtual Visitation (i.e Skype, Zoom, Facetime & phone calls) or email your message to your loved one, please contact the Recreation Department:  gsv-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com  604-582-0808 ext 203.
3. *For visitors who do not use email, or are hearing impaired, visits can be booked on site, with a minimum of 24 hours in advance. 
4. Please be mindful of social distancing to other residents.
5. Each individual Visitor must complete a Contact Tracing form at the pre-screening station
6.  Wearing a mask is mandatory at all times:  Mask must be kept on at all times while in the building.  For this reason, visitors are not permitted to eat or drink with residents at this time.
7.  If inside the building, Visits will take place inside designated resident’s suite.

PLANNING A RESIDENT OUTING (or walk) – a minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required:  

MAPLE NEIGHBORHOOD ONLY

1. 1. Only visitors who are on the “Resident Access List” are permitted to remove residents from the secured building on an approved & scheduled basis.
   2. A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required by contacting Recreation who will confirm scheduled date with Nurses that Resident is able to continue with outing (i.e. resident wellness, essential medical appointment):  Email gsv-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com  OR Phone 604-582-0808 ext  203  please leave a message
   3. Please provide photo identification to Lobby Reception/Screening if you are an approved Visitor who is taking resident for a scheduled outing from Guildford Seniors Village; after nurse approval, signature is required to sign out.
   4. Please wait in lobby; we will bring your loved one to you.  A mask & id card will be provided to Resident for health & safety.
   5. Upon return, please press buzzer to your right, to return ID card, and resident received by staff on duty at lobby level.

DO 

• Plan ahead, as visit schedule fills up quickly
• Cancel visit or end visit if you feel unwell during or before your visit
• Wash or sanitize hands before, during & after visit. Sanitizers are at each suite entrance & throughout residence
• Pets welcome (leash or carrier)
• ENJOY your visit with your loved one
• Follow all provincial guidelines such as staying within your community

Protocols

Strict compliance to all protocols in place corporately as well as directives of the health authorities, continues at Guildford Seniors Village.

This includes preventative & enhanced infection control, monitoring residents’ & staff health closely, and visitor designations.

Deliveries at Lobby Entrance:

• Please label your delivery with resident name & suite number, and we will ensure sanitizing and delivery to loved one.
• Kindly press the button at the speaker (to your left) to inform our team if you’ve delivered an item in the lobby vestibule.
