PROTOCOLS, VISITATION & OUTINGS
On September 12, 2021, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry introduced new guidelines for Visitors in Long-Term Care and Seniors’ Assisted Living homes. EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 26:
- All visitors must demonstrate they are fully vaccinated with two doses to enter a facility (excluding children under 12 years or those with an approved medical exemption)
- Visitors are required to show their BC Vaccine Card (QR code or equivalent) as well as personal identification when signing-in, even if only to pass through the facility to access an outdoor space.
- Unvaccinated visitors with no dose may visit outside, but cannot enter the facility to get to the visiting location.
Protocols as per Health Authority remain in effect. We remain vigilant & united.
- VISITS continue to take place in your loved one’s suite.
- Please wear your mask at all times in building.
- VISITATION HOURS: 9AM TO 9PM (excludes compassionate, essential or any medically required exceptions)
- PLEASE SIGN-IN AT Lobby Pre Screen
Screener will ask you pre-screening questions regarding any symptoms & update re immunization status as per Health Authority.
Please provide proof of your vaccine passport QR code (it will be scanned for proof of registration) when you sign in at Guildford Seniors Village

PLANNING YOUR LOVED ONE’S OUTING: a walk, an appointment
Please contact Nurses 24 hours in advance (or minimum one hour), to plan your Resident outing, for Care Team to prepare your loved one for outing, with respectful attention to each individual’s well-being, medication & nourishment.

- Resident Sign-Out: Only visitors who are on the “Resident Access List” are permitted to remove residents from the secured building.
- Resident Sign-In: enter through Lobby Pre-screen & check-in at nursing station; please return ID card.
