To all Family Members:

As we head into our Thanksgiving weekend, we are reflecting on how truly grateful we are.

We are grateful for our residents who are the reason we do what we do. Each resident is special to us, and we are thankful you have chosen to have them cared for by us.

We are grateful for our staff and leadership team who this year have worked extra hard to protect our residents and maintain a positive atmosphere for your loved ones.

We are grateful to have our visits, although they are a bit different than before we have worked hard to ensure all the residents have access to face to face, window and Facetime visits. We are also grateful for our 4 new screeners who have now allowed additional time slots for visitations to accommodate 7 days a week. Please reach out to dcc-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com to book your visit, we are starting to book into November and December.

We are grateful to have the support from our community in Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities, especially during our outbreak we had earlier this year.

We are grateful for Dr. Bonnie Henry who is working hard daily to ensure our loved ones stay safe and protected but also get the best quality of life during these unprecedented times.

We are the most grateful for our families who during this difficult times have worked hard to stay in touch with their loved ones, have made our staff feel appreciated and support us daily by following the guidelines.

We know this time is a hard for many of our families. We have a special Thanksgiving Dinner planned for each of our residents on Sunday October 11th at 5 pm. We will also be thanking our staff by having grocery gift card draws on the Friday before the long weekend and some treats for them on Monday.

We know many of you will want to bring gifts for your loved ones. Please remember they must be labelled with your loved ones name, room number and date if it is perishable. We are still not accepting flowers or stuffed animals.

Stay safe and healthy this Thanksgiving weekend!
