To all Family Members and Friends of Dufferin Care Centre,

Have you registered for the Seniors Health & Wellness Day that Dufferin Care Centre is hosting on Sunday June 6th at 2 pm? We will be hosting a live Zoom Chair Yoga and Meditation Day. This event is for family members and seniors in the community. Please RSVP to mtoth@retirementconcepts.com or 604-351-2200.

We had our Family Council Meeting on May 20th. The meeting minutes have been sent to all families. The next Family Council Meeting will be June 17th at 3:30 pm. If you would like to join the Family Council please contact mtoth@retirementconcepts.com.

We remain on a 2 week “step down” process to ensure a smooth transition back into our day to day, we will hear from Fraser Health next week for further direction. This means that we will continue offering 3 options for a visit with your loved one at this time:

In-Person Visit:

Window Visit:

Day Outing:

We continue to screen any family member that comes in to use the Magnolia Lounge or use the outdoor courtyard in the community. To request a Day Outing, Window, or In-Person visit times/dates email this address dcc-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com or call 604-472-4151 for visitation.  Please include your name, contact telephone number, and name of resident in your email.  Allow 24-48 hours for reply.

If at anytime, your loved one is contact traced or starts to exhibit symptoms, you will be contacted by phone and informed of the next steps.

Joyce has now returned to Summerland and will be supporting Dufferin Care Centre remotely, and Melissa Palana, Director of Care is the Interm General Manager.
