To all Family Members and Friends of Dufferin Care Centre

We are pleased to let everyone know that we have been removed from outbreak status! This is the first step to returning to pre outbreak operations.

We now begin what is called the “step down” process. This ensures a smooth transition back into our day to day. We will go back to our weekly email updates on Thursdays.

All remaining COVID positives cases have been cleared.

All COVID tests have returned negative

No staff or residents have any symptoms.

If we remain in this status for the next 14 days, we will complete the step down.

-We will continue with enhanced monitoring of residents and staff for any symptoms

-We continue with our high standard of cleaning and sanitizing of all areas

If at any time, your loved one is contact traced or starts to exhibit symptoms, you will be contacted by phone and informed of the next steps.

Visitations are now allowed for ALL residents. We will be doing visits 1:1 in the Magnolia Lounge and 1st floor courtyard only at this time, with an appointment. To request Facetime, Window, or In-Person visit times/dates email this address dcc-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com or call 604-472-4151 for visitation.  Please include your name, contact telephone number, and name of resident in your email.  Allow 24-48 hours for reply.

Joyce has now returned to Summerland and will be supporting Dufferin Care Centre remotely, and Melissa Palana, Director of Care is the Interim General Manager.
