To all Family Members and Friends of Dufferin Care Centre,

We are happy to announce we are now out of outbreak and no longer in the step down process. Congratulations to the team at Dufferin Care Centre, and for the families patience and understanding. Together we are #dufferinstrong.

We are remaining vigilant and ensuring this re-opening is as safe as we can possibly make it for our residents & team members.   The COVID virus remains in our midst. Keep in mind our top priority is resident safety.

Here is some important information in regards to visitations: We will go back to visitations as prior to the outbreak. You do require an appointment, if you do not have an appointment you will not be permitted to visit. We will continue to follow the corporate guidelines, based on Dr. Bonnie Henry’s order.

Some families prior to the outbreak were non compliant to the staff requests/guidelines. This can make an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation for not only your loved one but someone else’s as well. Please remember these guidelines are in place as part of the emergency health orders and we are required to ensure they are followed. If you are not capable of adhering to the guidelines, we encourage you to use skype or facetime for your visit. We regret to inform you that if guidelines are not followed, your visit will be ended immediately.

We continue to screen any family member that comes into the community. To request a Day Outing, or visitation times/dates email this address dcc-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com or call 604-472-4151 for visitation. Please include your name, contact telephone number, and name of resident in your email.  Allow 24-48 hours for reply.

If at anytime, your loved one is contact traced or starts to exhibit symptoms, you will be contacted by phone and informed of the next steps.
