To all Family Members:

We are proud to remain covid-free at Dufferin Care Centre! Thank you for your continued monitoring and diligence.

With the change in visitations, please note that you are not permitted to come into our home at random. You MUST have a booking for a visit in advance.

Please do not show up at the door without an appointment as you will be turned away.

As a reminder, the vaccine is not 100% effective, and there are new variants going around with increasingly alarming numbers of the general public being infected, that may not be prevented by current vaccines. Please remind your loved ones focus on and continue the practices of hand hygiene, physical distancing, and other safety measures that will keep them safe and healthy.

We are remaining vigilant and ensuring this re-opening is as safe as we can possibly make it for our residents & team members.   The COVID virus remains in our midst. Keep in mind our top priority is managing this re-opening as safely as possible.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this change. Again, we ask that you share this update with your family & friends who you think will be visiting our loved ones.

Don’t forget to complete your Easter Coloring Contest. Pick up your copy at reception or for staff by the sign-in desk, feel free to add a small photo of your child to attach to the picture, so residents can share and see photos of their young loved ones. I have also attached the PDF version you can print off and drop off at Dufferin Care Centre. Contest entries must be dropped off at Reception by noon on Thursday April 1st. The winners will be picked on April 6th, and announced in the April 8th Covid 19 Update.

We have attached our April Calendars and Newsletter for you to enjoy!

Communication

We will continue to provide families and staff with a weekly email update. This is also posted under COVID updates on our Retirement Concepts website.
