Dear Families and Friends,
We are in the season of Spring and Mother’s Day is right around the corner.
I share your sadness, loneliness, and anxiety during this difficult quarantine times and appreciate that children and grandchildren would love to see and spend time with their grandparents and vice versa.
We want to give credit not only to our front liners, but also to you, who are doing your part in keeping our community safe and healthy. At this time, Peace Portal Seniors Village continues to implement strict infection control and precautions, including a No Visitors Policy, One-Site restriction for our staff, and regular enhanced sanitation routines. And because of everyone`s efforts, we continue to be COVID-19 free.
On Friday May 8, 2020 we are going to have special cake for all residents and staff to celebrate MOTHERS’ DAY. Most of you were sent personalized mother’s day card made by your loved ones with the assistance of our recreation staff headed by Sandy K.
We hope you’ll receive them on time, your mom signed them!
May 13, 2020 a special lunch will be served for everybody honoring our mothers!
For those of you wondering what we do to maintain the safety of your loved ones, please note that we continue to adhere with the health authorities Infection Prevention and Control Protocols:
If there are lessons that this pandemic force us to learn, they are that we must value what we can, evaluate our priorities in life, and always make our families and friends feel loved, because things can change very rapidly. If there is any way we can ease the challenges, please email the Director of Care, the General Manager, or the Recreation Manager (i.e., video conference with your loved ones, etc.).
It is not easy, but we are in this together. I encourage you to please remain patient, and we will all come out of this together.
Sincerely,
Jessica Obra, RN
General Manager
