To all Family Members:
As we continue to weather this storm together, we want to express thanks and best wishes to all families.
As you may be planning for Mother’s Day, please note that Flower Bouquets are only accepted in a vase so that we are able to sanitize before delivering to the resident.
Today, there is no change in the number of affected residents and the total is eight, all of whom remain in isolation.
We are pleased to report that one staff member who previously tested positive and was self-isolating, has been cleared to return to work today. As a result, five affected staff remain home in self-isolation.
Communication with all families continues via e-mail. Daily phone calls to family members of the impacted residents continue. Please refer to our daily updates on the Retirement Concepts Website.
If you have questions related to a specific resident, please address those matters to: firstname.lastname@example.org. As you might expect, staff are extremely busy, but we will respond as quickly as possible.
We remain in daily communication with Fraser Health Authority representatives – and their support and advice is very much appreciated.
Lockdown at Dufferin Care Centre
The community remains on mandatory lockdown as per the Order of the Medical Health Officer.
We are following Dr. Bonnie Henry’s order to stop sharing staff between facilities.
Today we are fully staffed in the Laundry, CARE and Housekeeping departments but remain short staff in Dietary and Recreation departments.
We continue to receive our prepared food from Lazy Gourmet catering company, but look forward to re-opening our kitchen soon.
We continue to monitor our supplies closely. We have received emergency supplies through our Corporate Procurement as well as Fraser Health.
We like to refer to our staff at Dufferin as our “work family”. They have proven to be “STARS” and “HEROES” by demonstrating each day, their true commitment and dedication to our residents and to each other!!
