To all Family Members and Friends of Dufferin Care Centre

We are pleased to let everyone know that we have been removed from outbreak status! This is the first step to returning to pre outbreak operations.

We now begin what is called the “step down” process. This ensures a smooth transition back into our day to day.

All remaining COVID positives cases have been cleared.

All COVID tests have returned negative

No staff or residents have any symptoms.

If we remain in this status for the next 14 days, we will complete the step down.

-We will continue with enhanced monitoring of residents and staff for any symptoms

-Visitation for the second floor is still on hold until step down is complete-

-We continue with our high standard of cleaning and sanitizing of all areas

If at anytime, your loved one is contact traced or starts to exhibit symptoms, you will be contacted by phone and informed of the next steps.

Visitations for first floor only will continue with the same pre-outbreak process. To request Facetime, Window, or In-Person visit times/dates email this address dcc-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com or call 604-472-4151 for visitation.  Please include your name, contact telephone number, and name of resident in your email.  Allow 24-48 hours for reply.

Due to health regulations we are not able to expand the in person, virtual or window visits to the 2nd floor residents at this time.

**Delivery hours are between 9 am-4 pm Monday-Saturday**

All deliveries will be received at the lobby entrance. All items will be sanitized and delivered directly to the residents’ suite.

  1. Please use plastic bags, not reusable bags;
  2. Please label all bags with the resident’s name, suite number, and date it was packaged;
  3. If you are dropping off food for your loved one, according to Fraser Health’s directive the items must be non-perishable ONLY (must be consumed immediately, we cannot store any non-dried goods).
  4. If possible, please sanitize the items before dropping off. We will re-sanitize as well to be safe.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation,

Please rest assured we have the safety and care of your loved ones always as a top priority.

Stay safe everyone!!
