We remain COVID Free

We hope that you enjoyed your long weekend and got outside to enjoy the sunshine.

As the Province begins the process of starting to relax some of the COVID-19 restrictions, we want to express our thanks for the patience and understanding that you have shown during a difficult period.

As all of you likely know, we need to continue to ensure a number of key protocols remain in place to limit potential exposure to COVID, to keep residents as safe as possible.

In spite of the fact that no residents are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms, we are continuing to restrict all visitors out of an abundance of caution. We want to take a conservative approach and watch to see how things go out in the community.

We appreciate that these restrictions can lead to increased loneliness and anxiety, and while we will continue to maintain social distancing, please know we are preparing activities to ensure residents can have fun, exercise, and are able to socialize.

We continue to encourage family members and other loved ones to connect with residents via telephone, FACETIME or SKYPE. To inquire about facetime/skype or phone calls, please contact Jessica Sendler at jsendler@retirementconcepts.com.

Of course, with the weather getting warmer, we are also ensuring residents on the second floor are getting outside for some fresh air and visits with the cats.

For the residents on the third floor, we are starting to go out for walks in small groups.

We hope that some of the steps we are taking will make this challenging period a little easier for our residents.
