May 19 2021
At this time, there are no other confirmed cases of COVID-19 at White Rock Seniors Village. The staff member who did test positive is at home isolating for 14 days.
Fraser Health Licensing and The Infection Prevention and Control officer were on site May 18 to complete an “Enhanced Monitoring” inspection. They found everything in good order and will follow up with a written report.
Following direction from the Provincial health Officer, we continue to follow the enhanced monitoring guidelines. We have extra housekeeper’s onsite to ensure the highest level of sanitation especially in high touch areas.
Enhanced monitoring means we are not on outbreak but rather heightened watch at the current time.
During this time the following protocols are in place
-All recreation and visitation is paused.
-All staff and residents will remain in their areas. No cross-over
-Enhanced wellness monitoring of staff and residents
-Any contact tracing required
Deliveries can be dropped off at our screening door but please make sure the items are sanitized and well labeled. Please no perishable items.
We will keep you informed of any changes in our status and if your family member is affected, you will be notified directly.
Please do not call the site unless it is an emergency as our efforts will be concentrated on making sure our residents remain safe and comfortable as we ensure all of our protocols are in place.
Special note for our Independent Living residents and their families:
The COVID outreach vaccine coordinator has requested that all IL residents complete the COVID 19 Immunization Entry form to prepare for the second dose which will administered to the Independent Living residents in the coming weeks. We will hand out to each resident tomorrow. Please assist your loved ones in completing the forms as needed. Essential visitors will not be vaccinated on site and should register for their second dose at https:/www.getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca
Thank you for your patience and understanding
The White Rock Seniors Village team
