Hello to all of our friends and families of our Long Term Care residents,

We are thrilled to introduce a new member of our team, Atanasio Jhun Dayrit.

Jhun began here at WRSV 6 years ago as an RN and then left to further his clinical knowledge and growth within our company at multiple sites. With this incredible experience, he has returned as our Director of Care

Please join us in welcoming Jhun back home. Jhun is very familiar with this site as well as many of our long term staff and we are honoured to have him lead our nursing and care teams.

If a resident in our long term care is not doing well, there might be an exception made to the essential visitor rule as they will be allowed to visit in the resident’s room. Our Director of Care, Jhun, will contact the family if there is a need.

As Easter approaches we want to make sure you have the opportunity to connect with your loved ones. We would happily receive cards or gifts from family at our screening door and personally deliver them. Plants are also a great idea to brighten up a room.

The Easter Bunny has made plans to drop off some treats and our recreation team is preparing a special surprise for all of our residents

Only one family member of each resident is eligible to be vaccinated as they are considered to be essential visitor. Do not share booking details and do not book for other people

• Essential visitors are eligible for their second dose, four months following their first dose. Immunization appointments can be made using the online booking tool, two to three weeks prior to eligibility for their second dose.
• To book an appointment, please go to fraserhealth.ca/vaccinebooking. You must use Google Chrome web browser for the form to work. The access code is Ocean.
• If you’ve forgotten the date of your first dose, you can access the date by registering at healthgateway.gov.bc.ca, using your BC Services Card;
• If you need help using the COVID-19 Vaccine Booking Form go to fraserhealth.ca/vaccinebooking,
• WRSV staff will not be booking 2^nd doses for essential visitors

Visitation

All essential visitors must wear a mask, googles or safety glasses. Please bring your own goggles.

If you need to borrow goggles from us, please leave at the front desk as you leave.

We must also remind you that taking your mask off at any time while in our home is not allowed. If you are carrying COVID or one of the variants, you could spread this to your family member or a member of our staff.

Your visit should be only in your loved ones room and when your visit is over, please pull the call bell so staff can escort you directly to the exit door.

Although the vaccination process is in full swing, we are still following all of the Provincial health orders for the safety of our residents and staff.

• For the next while we are asking that you not come inside the building unless the need is required as depicted in the Fraser health definitions of an Essential visitor
• An essential visitor is someone who would support care needs to the resident’s physical care and mental wellbeing including assistance with feeding, mobility and personal care.
• Please continue to be diligent with hand washing, mask wearing and social distancing as COVID is still transmissible even after vaccination.

On site visits (in our dining room) will now be on specific days by floor. There will be one visit at 2:15 and one at 3:00

Second floor residents can have on site or window visits on Sunday, Monday or Wednesday.

Third floor residents can have on site or window visits on Tuesday Thursday or Saturday.

Virtual visits will remain in the same time slots 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, and 11:00 in half hour increments.

All onsite visits (inside visits) can only be with the designated essential visitor. To book a visit (virtual or onsite) with your loved one please email WRSV-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com
