This message is to inform all staff, residents, families, essential and designated visitors and contractors of WRSV.
This is to inform you that WSRSV has one Long Term Care home staff member on second floor who tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 20; this person last worked on Jan 18.
We have informed Public Health who informed the Fraser Health’s Medical Health Director. We also informed our Facility Medical Director, Licensing Officer and Emergency Response Team.
As of 6:50PM on Jan 20, Public Health and the Medical Health Officer has recommended the following:
1.) No declaration of outbreak as of yet but 2nd floor to be on enhanced monitoring/ droplet precautions unless advised otherwise.
2.) All residents to be monitored for any symptoms and report accordingly.
3.) No Covid-10 point prevalent testing recommended as of now.
4.) Third floor residents can continue with the usual: communal dining, admission and transfer.
6.) All residents in 3rd floor to be isolated if any symptomatic and report accordingly.
7.) All infection prevention and control measures to remain in place.
In addition, in person visits for 2nd floor residents are being re-scheduled for virtual visits.
3rd floor visits are on hold for now as we re-deploy our staff and we will resume both on-site and virtual visits as soon as possible. Any virtual visits may need to be rebooked as staffing allows. We will contact you if this affects you and your loved one.
We will continue to contact Long term care essential visitors to book their COVID 19 vaccination
and of course continue to send regular status updates.
