Dear Families of our Long term care residents.
As of today, none of our long term care residents are testing positive for COVID-19
There are five staff members currently COVID-19 positive. They will remain isolating at home until they are cleared by the health authorities ready to return to work.
As per The Medical Health Officer, we wanted to remind everyone about the importance of limiting social gathering over the Christmas Season. As per the order which is in effect until Jan 8 2021, you cannot invite friends or extended family to your household.
We all have to remain diligent and only engage with our core bubble. We know this is difficult however it is truly necessary to protect ourselves and those around us.
The patience, love, understanding and gratitude shown by our families is very much appreciated by our staff who are working tirelessly to keep everyone safe. Letters of encouragement are posted for the care team.
We are continually humbled by the amazing outpouring of compassion from our community
Last night we had elves here putting up beautiful lit décor in our 2nd floor courtyard. Today we had volunteers decorating our Independent courtyard and also a group that beautified our front door planters. Simply amazing and truly heartwarming jestures.
These communications are also posted to our website each day after they are sent out to you. If you have other family or friends that want to be updated, please feel free to direct them to www.retirementconcepts.com
We understand that this information may seem repetitive, however we want to ensure we communicate daily and that our families have quick and easy access to this information should they need to contact us.
Please know that the care and safety of residents is our number one priority, and that we treat this situation very seriously.
Following the direction of the Medical Health Officer and Fraser Health, the residents will remain in their rooms until this outbreak is declared over. Recreation is concentrating on one to one visits which is very important and meaningful at this time. Music, reading and sharing meaningful moment’s keep the residents connected and let them know how much they are loved especially when family contact is limited. Remember to book your phone call, face time or skype by following the guidelines as stated below.
