Welcome to the Weekly Waverly Update!

   May 10th – 14th

Recreation

The resident bus is back in motion!  Our trip to Walmart this week went smoothly with the residents very grateful to be back out shopping.  Jocelyn does such a wonderful job of helping each resident with finding what they need, pushing carts, and helping with tricky debit machines.

For Mother’s Day, Jocelyn brought in near a hundred roses to put ribbons on and give to each woman.  We didn’t forget the men though – They all were given a chocolate treat.  Sunday was a special day for us.

We are still waiting on the delivery of out patio furniture, the landscaping team has been working hard and so have Peter & Ray in Maintenance to get our grounds ready for summer!

Meals

The dining room set up being back to pre covid days is going great!  We so enjoy watching the residents be able to interact over a meal.  It reminds us of what a social experience it is for our residents during lunch & dinner.  The Mother Day menu was a hit!  We are grateful for our amazing kitchen staff to be able to put on such a special event to appreciate our mom’s.

General Store

We have new items in our general store.  We found with families back in the building more are stopping in for a chocolate bar or ice cream treat!

Deliveries and Drop-offs:

All deliveries will continue to be received at the front desk and will be sanitized, bagged and we will call the tenants to come and pick up their items right away.  Please ensure you label all items with name and room number to ensure all packages are received as quickly as possible.

Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe!

Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:

  1. Practice social/physical distancing (6 feet apart)
  2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 seconds or greater is so important.
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, And Stay Happy !
