Dear Families , Friends, Residents and  our Team members of Summerland Seniors Village;

We are pleased to inform you that as our swab tests for COVID-19 have returned negative, the health authorities have removed us from “watch” mode.

This means for AL residents and LTC that essential visits can resume effective tomorrow, December 19^th, in the morning.

Please contact main reception for any request for scheduled essential visitors.

• For AL – dining room will be fully operational tomorrow and the Bistro will be open for coffee, muffins and fruit
• Recreation will continue on with their face times and window visits
• Reception will continue to book all essential visitors to LTC
• We are going back to the protocols that were in place prior to the potential outbreak

Communication

Our emails will now go back to once a week. Should anything change, you will be updated.

If you would like to send cards, letters, pictures photos and notes, we are still very happy to deliver them.

To book an essential visit, a virtual visit ( Face time or Skype), or arrange a phone call,  Please contact us at   250-404-4311 by phone and jberrisford@retirementconcepts.com by email.

Deliveries

All deliveries continue to be received.  All items are sanitized and delivered directly to the resident’s suites.

When dropping items off, we ask families to please follow the guidelines below in order to ensure that your loved one gets their deliveries in a timely manner:

1. Please use plastic bags, not reusable bags;
2. Please label all bags with resident’s name and room number;
3. Please limit drop-offs to essential items; and
4. If sending food or drinks, please send single serve disposable items, but no homemade food or fruit please.  Please do not send food that need to be refrigerated.

We wish to thank staff, residents and families for their cooperation and understanding in helping us achieve this goal.
