Good Afternoon,
Selkirk Seniors Village remains COVID-19 Free! Please know that should the status of our community change in any respect, we will immediately inform all residents and tenant’s families or primary contact.
We continue to follow all guidelines and rules set by the MHO and Island Health. The new four stage plan that was announced earlier this week by the premiere and Dr. Bonnie Henry has us all optimistic for the fall and a return to our pre-pandemic lives. If you have any questions about the four stage plan, please visit https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/info/response
RECREATION
Recreation continues to engage the residents in activities such as: brain games, crossword, news and views, name that tune, music bingo, bingo, crafts, baking, reading clubs, cards, exercise groups, garden watch, 1:1 times, and walking groups just to name a few. If you want to know more about a program of how your loved one is engaging, please feel free to reach out to the recreation office at local 1120. This phone line is shared by the whole rec team, so please indicate what floor your loved one is on or which recreation aid you would like to speak to when leaving a message.
VISITATION
All social visits will be booked in advanced through our social visitation line 250-940-1028 ext. 1125 or via the social visitation email Selkirk-familyvisits@retirementconcepts.com . All visitors will be signed in and screened in the front lobby prior to seeing their loved one. As per the MHO and Province, there is a limit of 2 adults and 1 child visiting any one resident/tenant inside at one time. The Recreation team are still facilitating FaceTime and Skype to the best of their abilities, while also completing their other duties. Thank You
With the announcement of B.C’s new four stage plan it feels like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The light is there because of people like yourselves, doing everything you can to keep yourself and others safe. Thank you!
