 Good Afternoon,

Selkirk Seniors Village remains COVID-19 Free! Please know that should the status of our community change in any respect, we will immediately inform all resident’s and tenant’s families or primary contact.

Our Director of Care, Liam Brown, who has been with Selkirk Seniors Village for the past 12 years will be leaving us and joining our sister site, The Wellesley, as their General Manager. We all wish Liam the best in his new endeavour.

Recreation

We have been given the green light to expand our program attendee numbers. We are still focusing on small groups, but are going from 5 participants to 9. As long as the space is safe to socially distance, we can have up to 9 participants- which is great news!  Yesterday St. Patrick’s Day had many people showing off their best green attire and recreation had a themed activities such as crafts and trivia. The Irish Stew was a big hit, and quite fitting for the holiday.  Yesterday afternoon we were all delighted by the musical talents of one of our own recreation aids on violin- he played in the courtyard and was amped so that the residents could hear on all the floors. With the nicer weather starting we hope to do more courtyard music performances, get started with our patio gardens, and have already started increasing neighbourhood walks. In the Assisted Living there was a fun hot breakfast program today, nothing like the smell of bacon in the morning!
