Good Afternoon,

Selkirk Seniors Village remains COVID-19 Free! Please know that should the status of our community change in any respect, we will immediately inform all residents and tenant’s families or primary contact.

Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer, and Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, have issued the following joint statement regarding updates on the COVID-19 response in British Columbia on June 08th: “Today, we are reporting that 74.5% of all adults in B.C. and 72.4% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. In total, 3,749,758 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in B.C., 390,264 of which are second doses.”

Please note that we will ask you to change into one of our medical grade masks, as per the guidelines, when visiting on site. When booking your visit, please ask about parking instructions and where to enter the building. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell, please call and reschedule your visit at ext. 1125.

The Recreation team are still facilitating FaceTime and Skype to the best of their abilities, while also completing their other duties. Please note that these are the only two platforms we are able to use.  Please reach out to Brian DelRaye-Recreation manager and his team by e-mail at bdelraye@retirementconcepts.com or Selkirk-recreation@retirementconcepts.com, or call to set up a schedule (Brian- 250-940-1028 x1102; Rec Office- 250-940-1028 x1120).  They will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one.

Thank You

Hoping that, as a province, we can move into the next phase of reopening on June 15th. Our numbers keep dropping, so keep washing those hands, wearing your mask, and keeping each other safe!
