Selkirk Seniors Village remains COVID-19 Free! Please know that should the status of our community change in any respect, we will immediately inform all residents and tenant’s families or primary contact.
Selkirk has been given the date for the second dose COVID-19 Vaccine for our residents/tenants. The clinic will be held on site on Friday, May 07 from 09:30 am to approx. 3:30 pm. VIHA will send their nurses to administer the vaccine, the same as before. Having both doses of the vaccine will not change the visiting protocols or other guidelines. We follow the directions given to us by the MHO and VIHA. We are thrilled, nonetheless, that our residents/tenants will be further protected from the virus.
All social visits will be booked in advanced through our social visitation line 250-940-1028 ext. 1125 or via the social visitation email Selkirkfirstname.lastname@example.org . All visitors will be signed in and screened in the front lobby prior to seeing their loved one. When booking your visit, please ask about parking instructions and where to enter the building. Do not visit if you are feeling unwell, please call and reschedule your visit at ext. 1125.
The Recreation team are still facilitating FaceTime and Skype to the best of their abilities, while also completing their other duties. Please note that these are the only two platforms we are able to use. Please reach out to Brian DelRaye-Recreation manager and his team by e-mail at email@example.com or Selkirkfirstname.lastname@example.org, or call to set up a schedule (Brian- 250-940-1028 x1102; Rec Office- 250-940-1028 x1120). They will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one.
We are so thankful to be seeing so many friends and families reunited at Selkirk. It was a very long, hard year for everyone, and it is not over yet. Please remember if you are feeling unwell, please re schedule your visit. Thank you for keeping all of us safe!
