Hello Everyone!

Starting this week, the email communications will now be sent on Thursdays.

There continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents/tenants or staff here at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village, and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of our Community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

We are mindfully taking all precautions to minimize risks as we approach flu season and amongst Covid 19 infection control.  We recently had a COVID audit and are proud to say that we are in compliance in all of the most important areas of concern regarding infection control.

Each day, we all face new challenges in our goal towards keeping our seniors safe. The Health Authority is constantly updating protocols as we learn more about this Virus.  As reported on daily basis, the rise in cases continue to be a concern for many of us across the country. If you have children currently attending school outside of the home, please be aware of their exposure to any cases at school and practice masking, physical distancing, and hand hygiene at all times.

Recreation

Since re-starting programs, the Recreation Team has noticed a positive change in our residents. They seem happier and more alert. We have also noticed their cognition and mobility have improved. Residents have adapted well to this new way of doing programs (with designated small groups) and to the new way of communicating through video calls.  With Fall upon us, the recreation team have been brain storming fun ideas & programs to

Voting Packages

As many of you know, a provincial election has been called for October 24th, 2020. We are in the process of requesting mail-in ballots for all residents at RHSV since election officials cannot come in to our building and most resident would not be able to go out.

We will continue to offer scheduled video calls for those families who live out of town or are unable to come in for any reason. Please connect with Jaylene Smillie in our recreation department by emailing jsmillie@retirementconcepts.com or by calling 778-545-5000 ext. 1007

Designated Visitor schedules are working smoothly in our designated meeting areas. There is no change in Mandate of number of visitors as per Health Authority – protocols remain as is:

Leadership team:

As much as I love to be able to help everyone, there have been times that certain questions or inquiries have come to my attention that I am unable to address & I would like to take this opportunity to re-introduce the members of our amazing Leadership team that can best help you.  Please don’t be surprised if they reach out to you, as most times I will forward any email or voice messages to them & have them connect with you directly as they are, simply put, the best person to answer your queries.

Deliveries and Drop-offs:

All deliveries will be sanitized and delivered directly to the resident’s suites.   Delivery times are below

Monday-Friday 10am-2pm, and Saturday 1-3pm only, closed to all Sunday deliveries:

  1. Please use plastic bags, no reusable bags.
  2. Make sure to label all bags with resident name and room number.  No heavy deliveries
  3. Try to limit drop offs to essential items – as we are inundated with drop-offs.

Please do not drop off items after hours, we do not have staff to be able to accept it and may be left outside until the designated time listed, if you do, you will be taking your chances & we will not be responsible for anything that is left after hours.

Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind.
