Hi Everyone:
We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
We continue to appreciate all that you and your loved ones are doing to heed the precautions put in place to alleviate risk of exposure to COVID-19.
I am relieved to tell you that there are no cases of reported outbreak nor signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff here at Rosemary Heights Seniors’ Village.
Should the status of our community change in any respect, please know we will immediately contact families.
A gentle reminder that although some restrictions have begun to relax, we are still following the direction of our provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, and our no visitor policy remains in place. We understand your eagerness to come and visit your loved ones but at this time our no visitor policy remains the same. Thank you for understanding during this difficult period of time.
Recreation
Starting Monday, June 1 we will be starting small group activities in Long Term Care. These activities will be hosted by our LTC Recreation Aides and will be adhering to all precautionary measures such as prescreening questions, social distancing, and thorough sanitization of the activity space before and after each activity.
At this time, we are asking to please visit with your loved one over the phone or via Skype/Face Time only. At NO time is visiting in our main door way or outside an option. You will be asked to leave immediately if these precautionary measures are not followed. Thank you for your understanding and helping put your family members and our staff’s health and safety first.
Please remind and motivate your loved ones to participate in these different activities.
We are encouraging family members and loved ones to connect with your family member via telephone call, or FACETIME or SKYPE. Please reach out to Jaylene, our Recreation Manager, by e-mail at jsmillie@retirementconcepts.com or call her at (778) 545-5000 ext 1007 to set up a schedule.
Hair Salon
Sadly, the hair salon will remain closed until further notice.
Deliveries and Drop-offs:
Do not call your loved one to come to the door when you are dropping off items, and please ensure the deliveries you drop off are within easy lifting (a 5lb box is over the top for our staff to lift). We have one main entrance & the main doorway must be clear for people to safely drop off items.
All deliveries will be received at the front entrance. This includes groceries, medications, gifts. All will be sanitized and delivered directly to the resident’s suites.
Just a reminder dropping off items; Monday-Friday 10am-2pm, and Saturday 1-3pm only, closed to all Sunday deliveries:
Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe:
Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:
A big thank you to everyone for working so hard to keep Rosemary Heights safe and healthy, as well as for the kindness, understanding and support you share. Your understanding and patience has meant a lot to our staff.
Stay Safe everyone,
– Your team at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village Team
