Hello families and friends of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village,

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!  We are happy to report there continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village. Should the status of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

We hope you are all enjoying the sunshine the last few days has brought us.  The view of the mountains and the sunsets have been astounding. We are noticing a lot of our tenants taking advantage and going for walks.

Daylight Saving time is this weekend (yippee), Sunday March 14th, remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you retire to bed on Saturday night.

Have you received your free postcard in the mailbox from the Government? Wondering what to do with it? Your loved one would love to receive a post card from you. Feel free to send it to Rosemary Heights with your loved one’s full name and room number.

Protocols

Aside from the single visitor policy, we are following the direction of our public health officials and have full infection prevention and control precautions in place. Staff continue to monitor residents closely and are ensuring the following protocols are being adhered to:

We will continue to act upon their latest advice, and will adapt our operations as necessary and recommended.

Tax receipts

Tax receipts have been finalized and mailed out to the responsible person. If you have questions or inquires, please connect with our Admin coordinator responsible for finance, Sukhjit Kaur at skaur@retirementconcepts.com  or phone 778-545-5000 ext. 1011.

Visitor

Per the BC Centre for Disease Control, and Provincial Health Order directive, there are currently two categories of visitors for Retirement Communities, Essential Visitors & Designated Visitors for Social Visits.

Essential Visitors provide visits for compassionate care and/or are paramount to the patient/client’s physical care and mental well-being. The Health Authority or Facility staff will determine if a visit is essential. Whereas, Designated Visitors are for social occasion visits, and under these guidelines, each resident is permitted to have ONE designated visitor with bookings made in advance.

Medical Health Officers Orders

This is a reminder to PLEASE comply with the directives given by Dr. Bonnie Henry as it pertains to residents of senior’s communities leaving for ESSENTIAL OUTINGS ONLY.  Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Surrey and surrounding area, every precaution needs to be exercised for the health and safety of everyone living in the community.  An ESSENTIAL TRIP is outlined as a doctor’s appointment, optometry appointment, hospital/lab appointment, and grocery shopping ONLY.
