Hello families and friends of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!  We are happy to report there continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village, and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

We will continue to act upon their latest advice, and will adapt our operations as necessary and recommended.

Tax receipts

Tax receipts have been finalized and mailed out to the responsible person. If you questions or inquires, please connect with our Admin coordinator responsible for finance, Sukhjit Kaur at skaur@retirementconcepts.com.

Visitor

Per the BC Centre for Disease Control, and Provincial Health Order directive, there are currently two categories of visitors for Retirement Communities, Essential Visitors & Designated Visitors for Social Visits.

Essential Visitors provide visits for compassionate care and/or are paramount to the patient/client’s physical care and mental well-being. The Health Authority or Facility staff will determine if a visit is essential. Whereas, Designated Visitors are for social occasion visits, and under these guidelines, each resident is permitted to have ONE designated visitor with bookings made in advance.

Dining

What’s cooking?  Looking forward to this week’s daily home-made dinners, which are so nice to warm up with the cold winter weather we are having.  Did you know that all our delicious meals are prepared in our kitchen by our skilled team members, and all menus are reviewed by our corporate dietician to ensure we provide nutritious meals that include all Canadian Food Guidelines?  Below is a sample of a few choices of dinners that our residents have options to choose from that always include main entrée, starch option & 2 veggies.

This week we look forward to: Turkey Kiev Meatballs served with jasmine rice and sweet snap peas & savory carrots, Lemon Thyme Chicken with potato wedges au gratin, & sautéed Red Peppers & seasoned spinach, Honey Garlic Chicken served with creamy mashed potatoes & minted peas & seasoned diced turnip, and Butter Garlic Baked Salmon.

We are so grateful to our talented culinary team for providing us all with warm comfort foods.  And best of all, we do all the cooking and clean up the dishes.

A little chuckle for you today:

Has anyone else’s gardening skills improved during quarantine like mine have?

I planted myself on the couch at the beginning of March and I’ve grown significantly since!

Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind.

Take care, and let’s take care of each other.
