Hi Everyone:

The health and safety of our residents, their families and our staff are our number one priority and a responsibility that is taken very seriously. We continue to follow the direction of public health officials and other clinical experts regarding the best infection prevention and control measures to take to avoid transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

We fully appreciate how the steps we are taking may affect you and your loved ones. These are unprecedented times and we must do all that we can to maintain the safety of our residents and staff. Thank you for your understanding.

In spite of the fact that no residents are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms, we are continuing to restrict all visitors out of an abundance of caution. We know that continues to be an anxious period for residents, families and loved-ones – but we ask that everyone be respectful of this measure, for resident and staff safety.

Should the status of Rosemary Heights change in any respect, please know that we will contact families immediately.

Father’s Day:

This year father’s Day falls on Sunday June 21st. Father’s day is a day to celebrate and honor the fathers and father figures and show our appreciation.

Given this year’s unique circumstances many of us are celebrating away from the men we love. But remember, Father’s Day isn’t cancelled we just need to get creative in the ways we celebrate.  We will be hosting a BBQ lunch on Friday June 19.

Some suggestions that may help you recognize your father during this time of social distancing:

New clothing, chocolates, care package full of his favorite treats, craft projects, a framed family photo, or make a card and write a note inside letting him know how much you appreciate him or a memory you would like to share. Items can be dropped off at the front door between 10:00am – 2:00pm Mon-Fri, 1-3pm Saturday, no deliveries on Sunday. Please clearly label the package with your loved one’s name and suite number.

Access to Rosemary Heights

Just a reminder to everyone that we remain on lockdown at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village. We continue to ask everyone to be respectful of this measure as it is for resident and staff safety. At NO time is visiting in our main door way or outside an option. Even if physical distancing and PPE is used. The Public Health Officer in BC is stating we still need to have these measures in place.

Thank you for your understanding and helping put your family members and our staff’s health and safety first.

Deliveries and Drop-offs:

Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 21, please ensure all special dad deliveries are dropped off by Saturday June 20th by 3pm.

All deliveries will be sanitized and delivered directly to the resident’s suites.   Delivery times are below

Monday-Friday 10am-2pm, and Saturday 1-3pm only, closed to all Sunday deliveries:

  1. Please use plastic bags, no reusable bags.
  2. Make sure to label all bags with resident name and room number.  No heavy deliveries
  3. Try to limit drop offs to essential items – as we are inundated with drop-offs.

Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe:

Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:

  1. Practice social distancing (6 feet apart)
  2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 second or greater is so important.
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.

Thank you

We just want to encourage everyone to hold to the measures put in place during this time. Again, thank you for all your support during this challenging time for the residents, staff and family and friends.

Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind,♥

– Your team at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village (RHSV)
