Hello families and friends of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village
We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
NO RESIDENTS are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village. Should the status of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.
We continue with the residents being on droplet precaution as symptoms can still occur until the morning of Jan 22nd (only 1 more sleep). We continue to monitor all residents for any symptoms and meals are being delivered via room service for the residents on the 2nd floor unit. We are continuing with our COVID outbreak protocols & enhanced cleaning through out the entire building. We will transition everyone off of droplet precaution that morning and will open up the dining room and the recreation team will slowly restart small group programs again.
COVID Vaccinations Update
We have been informed from Fraser Health Authority, that the 2nd does of the vaccine for COVID-19 is being scheduled for around 35 days following the first does. We can expect our 2nd dose to be scheduled by mid-February in our home. (our 1st dose vaccine clinic was Jan 13, 2021)
We will provide families with a weekly email update that will also be posted under COVID updates on our Retirement Concepts website. For RHSV we send every Thursday.
Visitor Policy Reminder
Per the BC Centre for Disease Control, and Provincial Health Order directive, there are currently two categories of visitors for Retirement Communities, Essential Visitors & Designated Visitors for Social Visits. Essential Visitors provide visits for compassionate care and/or are paramount to the patient/client’s physical care and mental well-being. The facility staff will determine if a visit is essential. Whereas, Designated Visitors are for social occasion visits, and under these guidelines, each resident is permitted to have ONE designated visitor with bookings made in advance.
Please check out our most recent updates/changes:
We will continue to offer scheduled video calls for those families who live out of town or are unable to come in for any reason. Please connect with Jaylene Smillie in our recreation department by emailing email@example.com or by calling 778-545-5000 ext. 1007
The recreation team are preparing activities to ensure residents can have fun, exercise and socialize with each other in our community. Arts and crafts, active games, and brain games are just some of the programs that we are enjoying. Please remind and motivate your loved ones to participate in these smaller group activities.
Aside from the single visitor policy, we are following the direction of our public health officials and have full infection prevention and control precautions in place. Staff continue to monitor residents closely and are ensuring the following protocols are being adhered to:
We will continue to act upon their latest advice, and will adapt our operations as necessary and recommended.
**Delivery hours are between 10a- 2pm, Mon-Fri and Saturdays from 1-3pm and closed Sundays**
All deliveries will be received at the lobby entrance vestibule. This includes medication deliveries from pharmacies, other gifts and mail. All items will be sanitized and delivered directly to the residents’ suite.
Please do not drop off items after hours, we do not have staff to be able to accept it and may be left outside until the designated time listed, if you do, you will be taking your chances & we will not be responsible for anything that is left after hours.
Again I say thank you, and I hope it does not lose its meaning, as I truly am thankful to those of you doing everything you can to keep yourself and everyone here at Rosemary Heights safe.
We also wish to acknowledge our entire leadership and front-line team for their untiring efforts and support to ensure the safety of your loved ones.
Take care, and let’s take care of each other.
Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind.
