Hello families and friends of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!

There continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents or staff at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village, and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of Rosemary Heights Seniors Village change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

We are still waiting on the test results from staff members before Fraser Health declares our Assisted Living out of enhanced monitoring.  Once we learn that we have been cleared we will communicate to you immediately.

COVID Vaccinations Update

We have been informed from Fraser Health Authority, that the 2nd dose of the COVID 19 vaccine is scheduled for all Rosemary Heights residents on Tuesday Feb 23rd.  Any new resident that moved in Jan 13th onwards and has not received their 1st dose of the vaccine will receive the 1st dose on this day; the care team will reach out to you to seek consent if required.  Every resident that received the 1st dose will automatically receive the 2nd dose unless no consent was given or the resident is not ineligible.  Any essential visitor that was given their 1st dose at RHSV, you will receive a call, text or email from Fraser health providing you directions on how to book your 2nd dose vaccine.

Recreation:

As mentioned in the last week’s update, February is Therapeutic Recreation Month! This month we recognize the importance and diversity of TR and will be celebrating the amazing team we have here at RHSV. This week we are spotlighting 2 more of our outstanding team members; Jaspreet and Pavan

Jaspreet has been with RHSV since 2018 and loves engaging our seniors with leisure activities they enjoyed in their early years and knows that life priorities may have prevented them from doing these fun activities throughout their lives and the joy it brings to the seniors when they realize that they still CAN do these activities.  It warms Jas’ heart seeing the smiles as it shows that one can find hope, fun, entertainment and most importantly connections through the programs.  The meaningful, therapeutic programs Jas brings to the residents really proves how it can help them enjoy a rich quality of life and Jas is proud to be a part of bringing that joy to the residents.

Pavan joined RHSV in 2019 and has never looked back.  Pavan enjoys being able to help her residents by bringing new activities to them to try and enjoys watching the residents smile and laugh at trying something different.  It is amazing how trying something new can bring such joy and Pavan loves being able to create programs for our residents that is unique & different.  Why choose TR?  Pavan is a people pleaser and enjoys the creative part of planning programs.

This week, every day we have had a fun themed day and will be throughout February. This week we celebrated Family Day, Mardi Gras, Drink wine Day ( this was very popular until staff realized they couldn’t drink wine at work-lol) and tomorrow is Chocolate Day and to wrap up the week is love your pet day, just to name a few!  We are so very lucky to have such an amazing group of ladies to bring the fun to our world inside RHSV. THANK YOU!!
