Hello everyone,

This is to inform you that we have had a ONE positive COVID 19 exposure at Rosemary Heights.  We are placing all in person visitations on hold except essential visitors,  you are still permitted to enter the building.  At this time, to minimize possible more exposures,  no residents  should be leaving the building.

Currently right now, Fraser Health & the PHN are working with the information we have provided them to decide on our next steps.  I have been told to expect a call later tonight and will update you again tomorrow (Sat April 17th).

The focus currently is on long term care floors (both 1st & 2nd floors).  We have been advised to cancel all recreation programs, in person visits, and cohort residents on their respectful floors.

Dining rooms remains open for now, if this changes, please know I will update you.  We have not been told if we need to test any residents, again if this changes I will update you right away.

We have one resident that has very mild symptoms and that resident is isolated & has been tested, we are waiting on test results & will update once we learn.

We are not permitted to have any visitors into the building (this includes assisted living & long term care) at this time except for essential visitors

We are happy to report no other residents or other staff are displaying any COVID symptoms and we are continuing to monitor staff and residents daily, as well we are continuing with our enhanced sanitization plan.

We are still accepting deliveries.

  4. If possible, please sanitize the items before dropping off. We will re-sanitize as well to be safe.

Please do not drop off items after hours, we do not have staff to be able to accept it and may be left outside until the designated time listed, if you do, you will be taking your chances & we will not be responsible for anything that is left after hours.

We will continue to act upon their latest advice, and will adapt our operations as necessary and recommended.

We know that this is a stressful time and we want to ensure we keep everyone healthy, and we will continue with the safety protocols even if you feel they are extreme, this is what we need to do.

We wish to thank the families who continue to send us positive, thoughtful kind words of encouragement and we thank you in advance for their anticipated patience and understanding, we do know how stressful this situation can be for you & especially for our residents.

Please join us in extending our sincere appreciation to the Rosemary Heights Seniors Village team members, who are dedicated to keeping your loved ones safe and in good spirits.

One blessing to be grateful for, is that 96% of our residents have been vaccinated.

Stay Safe, stay calm, & stay kind.
