Hi Everyone:
As of today, no residents present with any COVID-19 signs or symptoms.
The health and safety of our residents, their families and our staff is our first priority and a responsibility that is taken very seriously. We continue to follow direction from the Ministry of Health, public health officials and other clinical experts regarding the best infection prevention and control measures to take to avoid transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Some of the measures we have put in place are:
We know that staying away from your loved one is very difficult and we appreciate that you are cooperating with this request with the goal of keeping our residents and staff healthy. Some of the measures may seem extreme to some however, it is what will keep your loved one safe & healthy. Family visits to the site cannot happen right now, your loved one cannot come home to stay with you for a few days. The team has been working very hard to ensure we keep this virus at bay and any of these types of visits is a prime opportunity for it to possibly slip in & as you know, what will follow.
We are using FaceTime and Skype to connect families. Please, we encourage you to sign up, if this is something you would like to do, please reach out to Jaylene, our Recreation Manager, by e-mail at jsmillie@retirementconcepts.com or call her at (778) 545-5000 ext 1007 to set up a schedule. She will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one.
Our staff will continue to provide care and services to our residents to enhance their safety and well-being while maintaining routines where it is safe to do so. We will keep you up-to-date on any changes related to your family member’s health status.
Access to Rosemary Height Seniors Village
In the long run, restricting visitors is helping us to keep the residents and staff safe at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village. We will still discourage families visiting at resident windows. The team has been working very hard to ensure we keep this virus at bay and these window visits is a prime opportunity for it to possibly slip in & as you know, what will follow. We will continue to monitor all residents twice daily with temperature checks and if any should have symptoms they are automatically isolated in their suite & family will be notified & kept up to date.
Dropping Items Off
Please note, starting on Sunday, April 26, Rosemary Heights will NOT be accepting any care packages or deliveries for residents on Sundays only. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will continue to accept deliveries Mon-Sat at times listed below. Do not call your loved one to collect the bag, we are sanitizing the bag before we deliver it.
Just a reminder dropping off items; Monday-Friday 10am-2pm, and Saturday 1-3pm only:
Staffing
Staff working for us have committed to only working at our community. We are grateful for their loyalty to support our operations at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village.
Staff are screened at the beginning of every shift and throughout every shift. This includes questioning and temperature checks. All results are recorded daily.
All staff have been wearing surgical masks, safety googles and gloves. This measure was put in place to protect both our staff and also the residents. In the event we go on outbreak, we do have enough PPE (personnel protective equipment) for all staff members.
Thank You
We will be sticking to our implemented measures for some time and are hopeful that we have minimized the risks to our residents and staff. Again, thanks so much for your continued support!
Respectfully,
Rosemary Heights Staff & Management team
