Hello Everyone:

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!

We are happy to continue to report that NO RESIDENTS or staff are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms at Renfrew Care Centre.

Should the status of this facility change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

Although there is not much to report we do want to continue with these emails to ensure everyone feels up to date and always has any information they need on hand.

Protocols

We are continuing to follow the direction of our public health officials to the letter, and have full infection prevention and control precautions in place.

Recreation Program

The Recreation department hopes that you are all out enjoying this beautiful weather and taking advantage of this opportunity to connect with nature but please remember to stay safe and practice physical distancing. For that always needed outside connection with family and friends our recreation department continues to facilitate Zoom, Facetime and Skype calls. If you would like to set up a time for one of these calls please reach out to Marivic at rcc-recreation@retirementconcepts.com or by phone 604-216-2333 to set up a schedule. We will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one. In addition, the Recreation staff are also going room-to-room each day to check on each resident and to drop off activities to keep the resident’s minds sharp. If you have any special requests for an item like a crossword puzzle or word search to be delivered to your loved one you can let us know by connecting with us via the phone number and email provided above. We will do what we can with our supplies to fulfill these requests.

Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe:

Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:

  1. Practice physical distancing (6 feet apart)
  2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 second or greater is so important.
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.

Thank You
