Hello Friends and Families of Renfrew Care Centre,

We always want to ensure our community is included on any events that occur at Renfrew especially as we all continue to navigate thru COVID-19

One of our staff members was exposed to COVID-19 and subsequently has now tested positive. The health authority has confirmed that this exposure happened AFTER their last shift. The individual has not returned to Renfrew Care Centre after this exposure or after their positive testing.

This means we are not on an outbreak but rather placed on Enhanced Surveillance by Vancouver Coastal Health. There is no change in the day to day operations within the community, no changes to essential visits, dining or comfort of the residents.

As we have done, we continue to follow high protocols including:

• Frequent Hand Hygiene
• Proper PPE (masks, goggles and gloves).
• Continued enhanced screening of the residents of all floors
• Continued screening of staff
• Continued screening of essential visitors
• Increased sanitization throughout the property
