Dear Friends and Families of Renfrew Care center

Vancouver Coastal Health has announced that vaccines are being made available to designated and essential visitors to Long Term Care sites. If you are a designated visitor, you will need to request a letter of confirmation from Renfrew Care Center that you are the designated visitor, and that letter will need to be presented at the vaccine clinic before they administer the first dose of the vaccine. If you haven’t received a letter and require one, please request one from rcc-screener@retirementconcepts.com and state the room number.

Essential visitors must be approved in advance and are for specific and necessary reasons only.

There have been updates to visitation guidelines but please remember, the requirement for masks to be worn at all times and proper social distancing has not changed.

The booking process has not changed ,you or your loved one must book social visits ahead of time by emailing rcc-recreation@retirementconcepts.com as Appointments are required.

As a reminder, the vaccine is not 100% effective, and there are new variants going around that may not be prevented by current vaccines. Please remind your loved ones not relax the practices of hand hygiene, physical distancing, and other safety measures that will keep them safe and healthy.

Should you notice that your loved one is experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, or are generally not feeling well, please remind them to stay inside their suite and please inform a staff member.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support!
