Peace Portal Seniors Village –November 7, 2020 Update
Dear Friends and Families of Peace Portal Seniors Village,
While our outbreak at Peace Portal Seniors Village has been declared over by Fraser Health, we remain under strict protocols. We’re pleased to inform you that our 2 team member tests came back negative but we are still pending resident results. We have a total of 3 resident results pending at this time, 2 that were tested on November 5th and 1 that was tested today. Families have been informed if their loved one was tested and will be called once results are made available. Out of an abundance of caution, we have put our “return to normal” processes on hold, until testing is completed.
If there is a positive case in the building, we will be placed back on outbreak. However, the 2 residents that are pending results are no longer symptomatic and we remain hopeful for good results.
Our two team members are self-isolating and recovering in their homes.
This means we are back to a “no visitor” policy, but families can contact the following to arrange for visits by facetime, skype or phone calls.
You can contact Sandra Kaethler at skaethler@retirementconcepts.com to arrange a day and time.
The dining rooms will also remain closed and residents will continue to dine in their suites.
All resident recreation programming remains paused.
We will continue to act upon the latest advice of Fraser Health Authority, and adapt our operations as necessary and as recommended, to reduce the risk of infection and transmission as much as possible.
We will continue to communicate with all families via email on a daily basis.
We know this continues to be an anxious time for everyone. We would like to close this communication by thanking families for their tremendous support and patience during this difficult period.
We also wish to acknowledge PPSV staff, who continue to go above and beyond.
