Monterey Seniors Village – May 17, 2020 Update

 Continued good news

Today, in the midst of the Victoria Day long weekend, the health status of our residents remains unchanged.

NO Resident is showing symptoms within our community. The total number of affected staff remains unchanged – at five, all of whom are home and in self-isolation.

We will continue to monitor residents very closely and should any be symptomatic, they will be swabbed, and placed in isolation as a precaution until lab results are known – as a matter of course.

Staff members continue to be assessed at the beginning of their shift and mid-way through their shift, and should any be symptomatic, they will be placed in self-isolation as a matter of course.

Protocols

We are  adhering to a number of strict protocols, including restricting ALL visitors from the premises.

We continue to ensure ongoing deep cleaning and sanitization of the entire community, with additional housekeeping staff in all areas of the building, and enhanced cleaning in high touch areas.

We will continue to act upon the latest advice of public health officials and adapt our operations as necessary and recommended, to reduce the risk of infection and transmission as much as possible.

Communication

We continue communicating with all families via email on a daily basis along with Facebook posts.

Should the condition of any resident change, family will be notified immediately.

 Access

The community is restricting access to ALL visitors

Staffing

There are no staffing issues to report today

Supplies

We continue to monitor our supplies closely.

 Teamwork

As Nurses Week comes to an end, that doesn’t mean our appreciation comes to an end. We want to say “THANK YOU” to our entire MONTEREY TEAM for everything being done for our residents!!

Thank you so much and enjoy your weekend!!!
