There is no change in status today, only one staff has tested positive with no new cases.

We understand this information may seem repetitive, however we want to ensure we communicate daily and that our families have quick and easy access to this information should they need to contact us.

All residents in our Supportive Living 1st floor have been tested for COVID-19 and we are happy to share that all results have come back negative on January 9th.

All residents on the 1st floor are no longer under quarantine and may enjoy the dining room that has re-opened and all lounge and public areas on the 1st floor.

Until otherwise advised by the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) and the Alberta Health Services (AHS) Outbreak Management team, we remain on outbreak status. We continue to operate under our outbreak protocols, monitor any possible risk of transmission of the virus within our community very closely, and regularly meet and work with the MOH and the AHS Outbreak Management team to ensure full compliance with all applicable health and safety measures.

To ensure we are making every effort to prevent any spread of the virus, the following precautions remain in place:

O Please note, if we have confirmed cases of the respiratory flu, those residents will be on contact and droplet isolation.

Please call the reception at 403-207-2929 to book your essential visit.

Update on COVID-19 Resident Vaccines –

We had our Covid Vaccine first dose clinic today, January 11th.  The Pfizer Covid Vaccine was administered by Public Health to all residents (and authorized decision-makers) who provided consent.

The vaccine manufacturer is chosen by Public Health to ensure supply for the second dose is reserved for our second Covid Vaccination on February 1, 2021.  The consent received for the first dose is acceptable to utilize for the second dose.

We request that you avoid visitation in the morning of both clinics to minimize additional distractions during the vaccination clinic.

Any resident who was unable to have their vaccination today will be booked to have their first dose at the next clinic and Public Health will make additional arrangements for the second dose on site at the required timeline.

After each vaccination, our team will be monitoring all residents who received the vaccine for side effects.  If any resident experiences side effects, we will follow the After Care instructions on the Client Immunization Record.  If we have any concerns with side effects a resident is experiencing that match Covid symptoms as outlined in that form, we will be communicating directly with Communicable Disease instead of Health Link for further direction.  We’ve attached the Covid Vaccine information sheet for your review.

If you have any questions the information sheet does not address, please contact our nursing department to discuss further.

Thank you for all of your support.
