Dear residents, family members and friends,

We are happy to report there are no current cases of COVID-19 in our residents or staff here at Maple Ridge Seniors Village.

Communication

Please be informed that this will be the last of our weekly COVID-19 updates.   Going forward, we will be returning to our regular communications through our Monthly Newsletter, 1:1 meetings, emails and telephone calls.  Of course a COVID-19 update will be sent if our community has a COVID-19 exposure.

COVID-19 Guidelines

Please see attached for the current COVID-19 guidelines.

We must remind all visitors that are COVID-19 visitation guidelines and restrictions are still in place.  All visits must take place in the resident’s room/suite, or outside on a public patio or courtyard.  Visitors are not to be in common areas where they may have contact with another resident.

Visitors must wear a mask at all times during their visit, even when in the room/suite.

Also attached is communication from Fraser Health dated June 30, 2021 regarding the COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions in Long Term Care and Assisted Living.

While Phase 3 of B.C.’s Restart plan is approved to launch on July 1, 2021, the COVID-19 health and safety measures within health care facilities – including long-term care (LTC) and assisted living (AL) – have not changed and must continue to be followed.

Fraser Health will continue to monitor pandemic activity during the summer and will re-evaluate current PPE guidance in the fall.

How This May Affect You?

• LTC and AL staff and medical staff need to resume wearing medical masks and eye protection within resident/tenant care areas.
• Visitors to LTC and AL sites need to continue to wear medical masks and follow other COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.
