Hello Everyone,
Once again we are happy to report that No Residents or staff are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms at Langley Seniors Village.
At LSV we were excited to start the year off with a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic during the first full week of January, a very promising start to the New Year! Ninety One (91) residents were vaccinated during the clinic, however, we must continue to follow precautions set by the Health Authority until restrictions are lifted.
Essential visitors are now being contacted for vaccination appointments, our staff will contact you for information to be able to book the appointment if you are currently an essential visitor for you family member. Please do not call as you will contacted if you qualify.
Some socially distanced celebrations took place including watching the ball drop in Time’s Square!
Rest assured masks were worn (when not eating or drinking) and social distancing was observed while the residents enjoyed ringing in the New Year!
The following guidelines are still in place:
- All visitors must wear a medical mask when entering and moving around any health care facility, including clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Please do not come into the building or make contact with your loved one if you are not feeling well.
Booking Visits in our Private Dining Room
To allow us to maximize the number of visits we have available each day the visits are booked starting on the hour for 45mins which allows for a 15min window to sanitize the room properly prior to the next visit. Visitation bookings are available seven days a week with the visit time slot at 10am and the last time slot at 7pm. Just a reminder when dropping off items:
- 9am to 5pm each day
- Please use plastic bags, no reusable bags.
- Please be sure to label all bags with resident name and room number.
- Please limit drop offs to essential items.
Once items are dropped off they are sanitized and delivered to the suites.
Sock and Toque Collection
The sock and toque collection was very successful this year and we were thrilled to be able to donate a total of 349 socks, toques, gloves, scarves etc. to The Gateway of Hope and Ishtar Transition Society. Thank you to all the residents, staff and families who made donations they were greatly appreciate by both organizations.

Residents can earn a $1000 referral fee
Do you know someone who would love to live at Langley Seniors Village? If a resident (family member) refers a new private pay resident who moves into Langley Seniors Village (for a minimum 3 months) the resident can receive a $1000 discount on their rent! Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:
- Practice physical distancing (6 feet apart)
- Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based
sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 second or greater is so important.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff
immediately.
