We hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
As of today NO RESIDENTS are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms at Langley Seniors Village.
Should the status of Langley Seniors Village change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.
Lockdown at Langley Seniors Village
I just want to remind everyone that we remain on lockdown at Langley Seniors Village. We continue to ask everyone to be respectful of this measure as it is for resident and staff safety.
We continue to follow the direction of our public health officials to the letter and have full infection prevention and control precautions in place. Staff continue to monitor residents closely and are ensuring the following protocols are being adhered to:
We are continuing to do daily assessments of the residents – including temperature checks and well-being assessment.
Recreation staff are continuing to conduct socially distanced, small group activities. Additionally, Recreation Staff are doing a treat day a couple times a week either going suite-to-suite or offering treats in our lounge while practicing social distancing. These treats of Ice Cream Sandwiches, bags of chips, Ice Cream Floats as well as other options have been well received.
FaceTime or Skype
We continue to offer the opportunity to set up appointments to FaceTime or Skype with family members. If this is something you would like to do, please reach out to Celeste by e-mail at email@example.com or call her at (604) 539-9934 ext. 023 to set up a schedule. She will be happy to confirm a date and time to connect you with your loved-one.
Dropping Items Off
Just a reminder dropping off items:
Once items are dropped off they are sanitized and delivered to the suites.
We continue to have a good inventory within our General Store. Most common items requested by residents continue to be in stock.
The expanded dinner offerings for residents has been well received. We continue to look at how we can expand our current meals options.
Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe:
Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:
Again, we want to thank the families during this challenging time. We recognize how hard this period has been on residents, staff, family members and friends. We are hopeful that public health eases some restrictions by the middle of May 2020. Knowing that things will still be different once this happens, however it should be more manageable for everyone involved when this does happens. We ask for everyone’s continued patience over the next couple of weeks as we prepare to ease some of our implemented safety measures.
