October 1, 2021

Dear Families and Residents of Kamloops Seniors Village,

Please be advised Interior Health has declared the Outbreak on 1B & 1C over as of Friday, October 1, 2021. We thank you all for your patience and collaboration over the last few weeks.

With that said, we had a new staff exposure. The asymptomatic staff member tested positive related to a City of Kamloops community exposure. The staff member last worked night shift on September 25th on both the 1BC & 2BC Neighbourhoods. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, the Health Authority & MHO have placed exposure restrictions at this time. Interior Health wants to emphasize that this event is NOT related to the current KSV Outbreak.

The following restrictions are in place over the weekend through Tuesday, October 5, 2021, for ONLY Complex Care 1B, 1C, 2B, & 2C Neighbourhoods:

These exposure event restrictions are in place for 10 days from the last onsite exposure of September 25.  Our next call with Interior Health and the Medical Health Officer (MHO) is on October 5 to check in to see if the exposure event can end or not.

This exposure event does not impact the Assisted-Independent Living side of the building.

Updates will continue to be communicated to you, which will also be posted to the Community Update Section of our Website.  If you have other family or friends who would like to be updated, please feel free to direct them to www.retirementconcepts.com.

Deliveries

All deliveries continue to be received.  All items will be sanitized and delivered directly to the resident’s suites.

Sincerely, The Kamloops Team
