UPDATE ON COVID-19 – Saturday, March 28 2020

To all Family Members:
We continue to ensure appropriate care for all residents at Dufferin Care Center. We thank families for
their understanding and support of our team at DCC and also hope families will remain safe and healthy
in their homes.

Status Update
All residents are being monitored closely on days, evenings and nights shifts. Today, each of the original
8 residents who were in contact with COVID-19 remain symptom-free!

We continue to communicate with all families via e-mail. We continue to call family members of the
eight directly impacted residents, by phone – on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s. If there are any
changes between these calls, families will be updated immediately.

We continue to post daily updates on the Retirement Concepts Website and Facebook Page.

Lockdown at Dufferin Care Centre
The community remains on mandatory lockdown as per the Order of the Medical Health Officer.
We are also adhering to Dr. Bonnie Henry’s Order, to stop sharing staff between facilities.

Today we are again staffed adequately, and everyone is working as a team to ensure the best care
possible during this time.

We have adequate supplies today. We continue to be in need of non-touch thermometers.

Our staff continue to show tremendous dedication and commitment in caring for our residents.
