The bus is back on the road!

Our bus driver, Eric, is back at the steering wheel of our village bus. We had two successful sightseeing outings this week to Point Holmes, the Comox Harbour and Kye Bay, one for each community. We look forward to more adventures to come. Sign up is required for the bus trips as space is limited due to physical distancing. We will be adding more trips as we are able to.

Corn on the Cob – Celebrating fresh food from the Comox Valley

We had a great afternoon last week, of corn husking and tasting. The corn was fresh from Siefferts market, and was a sweet treat for all of us. Thank you Christine and Cherie for organizing the activity.

Reminders for your loved one to Stay Safe

Again, the following four points are so critical to discuss with your loved ones. Please help us by reminding each resident daily of the following four items:

  1. Practice social distancing (6 feet apart)
  2. Perform proper Hand Hygiene (Wash hands frequently for 20 seconds with the alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and hot water) 20 second or greater is so important.
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  4. If exhibiting any symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing) please alert staff immediately.

There continues to be no signs or symptoms of COVID-19 in any of our residents/tenants or staff at Casa Loma and Comox Valley Seniors Village and for that we are very grateful. Should the status of our community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

A big thank you to everyone for working so hard to keep Casa Loma and Comox Valley Seniors Village safe and healthy, as well as for the kindness, understanding and support there has been.

Sincerely,

The Team at Comox Valley Seniors Village and Casa Loma
