Guidance for Visits in Independent and Assisted Living

We acknowledge that we are only able to suggest guidelines around visits with family members of IL/AL. Please know that we are proud of continuing to provide a safe COVID-19 free community and hope that if you do choose to take your family member out for a visit that you follows recommendations that mirror those told to us by Dr Henry.

  1. Maintain 2 meters of separation during your visit
  2. Wash your hands many times during your outing
  3. Wear a surgical or cloth mask at all times during your visit
  4. Have your visit in the outdoors – it is safer than an area of recycled air indoors
  5. Opt for a picnic versus a restaurant
  6. If you are travelling by car, maintain separation by sitting in the back seat and keep the windows open if possible
  7. Avoid unnecessary outings to shopping centres and grocery stores

Limited Reopening of the Bistro

We are excited to announce a reopening date for the Bistros in both buildings! We know many tenants have enjoyed the daily visit to their room with the morning coffee break carts, but are sure this small step on the road to normalcy will be welcomed! The bistro will be open Monday to Friday 9am to10am at both buildings starting Monday June 22. Our last day of the morning coffee break cart service will be Friday June 19.

The bistros will have a staff person to serve the tenants and we will be offering similar fare to what the tenants have enjoyed on the cart – coffee, tea, a selection of juices, and single serve fruit and pastries. We will ask that tenants not gather in the bistro area, but rather collect their favorite items to enjoy in their suites.

Hairdresser Studio Still on Hold

We know that all our tenants are getting anxious about haircuts. We have unfortunately not been given the green light yet to have Anna return to reopen her hair salons at either building. We will keep you posted if we hear anything new.

Thank you for all your support and cooperation during this challenging time. It is so important for the residents, staff and for family and friends.
