From the desk of Colin Montgomery, GM

I am so proud of each and every one of the team members here at Casa Loma and CVSV. The past 4 months have been challenging; emotionally, mentally and physically. The rewards we receive, though, come in the special moments of connection, made every day, within our two communities. And with no known end date in sight, we are continuing to keep the health and well-being of our tenants, your loved ones, front and centre.

We have been working with the Vancouver Island Health Authority and our corporate Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to finalize our Social Visitation procedures. We are awaiting final approval and hope to be able to start the visits next week. As soon we receive the green light, we will send out an email communication and begin booking appointments.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to:

Kelley Romeril (Long term care residents) – 250-331-4117

Miranda Sorensen (IL/AL residents) – 250-331-4365

Wacky Wednesday

And of course our weekly photo of our spirit ambassador, Bernard aka Bud. This week’s wacky Wednesday theme was crazy hair day!

Hair Salon Update

We are pleased to announce that we are working towards the reopening of the hair salon. Ana is excited to return and to see all of you again. There will be new procedures in place to ensure everyone stays safe and healthy. We will share more details as soon as we have them.

Retaining Wall Update

The retaining wall has now been completed. The landscaping and beautification of the area will now begin with an irrigation system installed and planting of native plants and trees. Thank you for your continued patience with this work in progress.

Sincerely,

The Team at Comox Valley Seniors Village and Casa Loma
