Wacky Wednesdays

Our Wacky Wednesday theme days are continuing this month with great enthusiasm. This week was “Decades Day”. Bernard is wearing a beautiful suit from 1980 and Deryn is dressed in a school girl outfit. Eugene is sporting a sou’wester from his younger years.

A special thank you to Amelia from New Brunswick! Amelia sent handmade cards to numerous tenants of Casa Loma, each with a little bit of information about herself and a great joke. Hoping to spread a little smile!

Removing Isolation Requirements for Residents Same Day Medical Appointments – Medical Health Officer

As of May 19^th we have implemented new guidelines for same day medical appointments. Residents will no longer be required to self-isolate after attending same day medical visits (planned appointments or emergency room visits). We continue to ensure that infection control procedures remain the same, ie. comply with strict hand hygiene, wear a surgical mask during transport, be screened prior to trip and when returning.

We are pleased to continue to report that no staff or residents are presenting COVID-19 signs or symptoms at Casa Loma Seniors Village and Comox Seniors Village. Thank you for your continued adherence to our no visitor policy. All the updates are posted to our website for easy reference. Should the status of this community change in any respect, please know that we will immediately contact families.

Don’t forget Father’s Day is fast approaching. Please feel free to email in a photo of yourself wishing your father a happy day and we will be sure to hand deliver it before June 21^st.
